Project Overview

A new 70,000m2 purpose-built distribution centre and corporate office, the largest of its kind in the Southern Hemisphere. The facility incorporates a 45m high fully automated High-bay warehouse with a capacity of 60,000 pallets.

The High-bay warehouse was constructed with a load-bearing pallet racking framing structure, constructed of light-gauge and fabricated custom-profile steel – all designed and fabricated off-shore, for delivery and assembly on-site.

Baigents were engaged by voestalphine Krems Finaltechnik GmbH from Austria to complete the structural engineering design and certification of the High-bay warehouse structure to Australian design Standards.

Baigents were then engaged by Vanderlande Industries for the Construction phase of the project, providing detailed erection sequence drawings and other temporary works engineering.
